PORCELAINIA
Intro to Platonics

The construction of the Platonic Solids use techniques from the Octahedral Porcelain Process. The Platonic Solids are regular polyhedra having faces exactly equal to each other. There are only five Platonic solids: tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Demonstrated are techniques to shape the Platonics to sphericity. There is no detailed instruction on the solid geometry of polyhedra. Search instead www.alltheweb.com using the exact phrase, Platonic solids. MODELS shows other versions of the Platonics giving a few helpful details on polyhedra using images and animations. TOOLS&MATERIALS illustrates the relevant tools and materials used in the construction of the solids. FABRICATE and SPHERICALIZE gives the details of constructing the Platonics. The remaining five pages, show examples of the Platonics constructed in porcelain: COMPLETED.
