Chang Kuo-Lao is the Patron of Old Men. His emblem is the paper horse and he represents old men. His bamboo tube drum symbolizes longevity. He is said to have lived in the 7th or early 8th century A.D., and had supernatural powers which could make him invisible. He is depicted his white mule who he rode backwards. His emblem is a kind of musical instrument called You Gu which had the shape of a bamboo tube or drum with two beating rods.
